Taylor High School Jazz Band
The Taylor Jazz Band concert was last night.
Thank you to everybody that was able to come and support Hope.
She had quite a fan club!
Marci got Mr. Melville introducing Hope and Hope's solo, "The Look of Love" on tape for us.
Thank you to John for suggesting the idea and a big thanks to Debbie for helping make it happen!
The band was amazing! They had a guest trumpeter and vocalist,
Nelson Mills III there last night. Hope got to sing a duet with him.
I will try to post some other numbers soon!

Me... Famous?
Marci Made Me Famous!
If you having been reading along with me for awhile you know, I live "famously" through my kids!
Just a sampling of the many posts!
.....in random order .....
Well back to the famous bit...
Marci has this incredible Menu Blog that I totally rely on now. She finds amazing recipes and has posted about many of our family favorites as well.
She spotted our "Miner Marinade" recipe at
Real Mom Kitchen!
It's featured
Okay, okay, so I'm not mentioned but my recipe should count for something. (right?)

Happy Birthday Hoperiffic
Happy 15th Birthday
Hope!
Some of Hope's friends gave her these balloons when she got to school . I think the cute orange one kind of looks like her.♥
We had her family party with Marci's Sunday. The girls wanted Hansen Tacos and everyone is always happy with that choice!
She 's done some fun things with friends and got to go to dinner and shopping with Grammie and Frog this week. She took Banana Chocolate Chip Cupcakes to Seminary this morning ...AND Now Miss Hope is headed off to Kayley’s for more celebrating and she is happy to be chauffeured by Scott in his new wheels!
… and I just couldn’t resist updating this little video from a couple of years ago.

Mindful Monday ~ To Mike
Dear Mike,
I think of you all the time, but I just want you to know that today being your birthday and all I am really missing you! Thanks for being such a wonderful big brother to me. I learned so much from you, more by who you were than what you said. Everyone was always drawn to you. You had a warmth that made people feel at ease and peaceful. I love to think about all the lives you touched here on earth. You really did "let your light so shine".

I am ever so grateful for the time we had every Tuesday. Hope still talks about our visits. She remembers how organized you were and she cherishes MIKEY, the monkey you made when you were little. Remember how you teased her about having a "Mikey Birthday Party" instead of a Madeline Party.
We laugh about it still. You went on and on about having
Mikey invitations and Mikey plates.
Mikey is doing well by the way.
(he is still a little shy at first )
He stays in Hope's room mostly but likes to hang out in my sewing room from time to time.
You were always like that. Thanks for being so kind to me. That means the world to little sisters you know.
Happy Birthday Mike!
Love and Miss You,♥KelleyAnne

Thank You Thursday - Red Velvet
Are you familiar with Red Velvet Cake? I think maybe it is a Southern/Texas thing. We had never even heard of it before we moved here.
It is Hope's favorite!
I think she first tasted it at Chrissy and Zack's wedding reception. Chrissy's Red Velvet Wedding Cake was beautiful and delicious!

Whenever Hope gets to have a cupcake from one of our favorite spots,CRAVE, she ALWAYS chooses Red Velvet.
For her birthday cake she requested, Red Velvet.

....look what I found the other day at Randalls.
Who would've ever thought in a million years!
Little Debbie® Petites Red Velvet Cakes are genuine,
moist red velvet cakes topped with creme cheese flavored
icing. Each perfectly portioned serving is individually
wrapped in a six count carton.

Life is a Bowl of Cherries....
So sorry I'm a slacker of a blogger. Here's a quick update:
Miss Hope got her new brace and loves it.What a difference!
Front (the new one latches in the font!) Back
Check out her Converse shoes. Her friend Mason did the artwork. I love the detail and there are little stories and innuendos that go along with the drawings.
We took these pictures while we were waiting for the doctor.
Scott smashed his hand between two 100 lb. dumbbells. The last time he hurt his hand and told me it was fine it was broken. This time we played it safe and went to Urgent Care to get an X-Ray. We spent what seemed like forever waiting. No break this time, just a severe contusion.
I was bored waiting for the doctor again
so Scott posed for a picture.
Orders and Projects from last week:
Mack and Cheryl came for a visit
and we soaked up every minute we could!
Dinner at ChaChos
Pictures via Marci
And the traditional SCUM game. We laughed so hard my side hurt!
As long as I'm stealing pictures..... aren't these kiddles cute!
Tomorrow I'm making Sprinkles Strawberry Cupcakes and catching up with all of YOUR blogs!
Can' t wait ♥
