Mindful Monday
How to start your week off right: "Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" Psalms 118:24 2. Dress Up The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart." I Samuel 16:7 3 . Shush Up Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul." Proverbs 13:3 4. Stand Up For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything. "Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..." Galatians 6:9-10 5. Look Up To the Lord. "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 6. Reach Up For something higher. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5-6 7. Lift Up ! |

Mindful Monday - Mothers
This quote was printed in our Church Program yesterday.
♥ I LOVE IT ♥
" Many years ago the First Presidency issued a statement that has had a profound and lasting influence upon me. 'Motherhood,' they wrote, 'is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind. It places her who honors its holy calling and service next to the angels.' " Elder Russell M. Nelson

These are some other quotes that I love about the
beautiful blessings and responsibilities of motherhood.
beautiful blessings and responsibilities of motherhood.
"In the soft and gentle arms of a mother's love, children can come to know the voice of the Lord."
Dwan J. Young
"Be a Mother who is committed to loving her children into standing on higher ground than the environment surrounding them. Mother's are endowed with a love that is unlike any other love on the face of the earth." Marjorie Pay Hinckley
"When a mother provides an example of joy, the children's world is one of happiness." Barbara B. Smith

Mindful Monday
Gratitude
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow."

Mindful Monday ~ To Mike
Dear Mike,
I think of you all the time, but I just want you to know that today being your birthday and all I am really missing you! Thanks for being such a wonderful big brother to me. I learned so much from you, more by who you were than what you said. Everyone was always drawn to you. You had a warmth that made people feel at ease and peaceful. I love to think about all the lives you touched here on earth. You really did "let your light so shine".

I am ever so grateful for the time we had every Tuesday. Hope still talks about our visits. She remembers how organized you were and she cherishes MIKEY, the monkey you made when you were little. Remember how you teased her about having a "Mikey Birthday Party" instead of a Madeline Party.
We laugh about it still. You went on and on about having
Mikey invitations and Mikey plates.
Mikey is doing well by the way.
(he is still a little shy at first )
He stays in Hope's room mostly but likes to hang out in my sewing room from time to time.
You were always like that. Thanks for being so kind to me. That means the world to little sisters you know.
Happy Birthday Mike!
Love and Miss You,♥KelleyAnne
